What an honor! As a former teacher, I can tell you that a student with that kind of achievement is a delight to teach!

Congratulations! Next thing you know he will be the mayor of Kotzebue, or Alaska itself! :-)
Hope you are having a good day.

Did you know that as a native student, he can go to Harvard, Cornell, etc and get FREE tuition.

Yeah, I found that out after I had already gotten married and pregnant! Anyway, just thought I'd let you know! :)

Send him to Cornell. I'll look after the boy there. Invite him home for weekends, do his laundry, make him cookies to take back with him - and you can come visit me!!!

Congratulations, Uyaana. You are very, very smart, and I am so proud of you for working hard enough to get all A's. You are somebody very special

First of all...congratulations to your Super Duper Smarty Boy! Good job, Uyaana...and to you, mom, for encouraging him every step of the way!

Secondly...LOOOOOVE that header photo!

The little girl in all the fur on the sidelines a couple of posts back was absolutlely adorable.

Happy 2nd Bloggiversary! I've been reading for quite some time now...probably getting close to 2 years, as I believe you were one of the first blogs I 'favorited' and came back to as a newbie blogger myself. I can't remember exactly how I happened across your blog, but I was intrigued by all things Alaska, and kept coming back for all the gorgeous photos!

My husband was watching an old John Wayne movie today, North to Alaska and I cracked up when it mentioned on the subtitles that the boat was bound for Kotzebue. Of course I immediately thought of you folks, lol.
