"Arctic Unreality"...a review of sorts...

.
I've been reviewed....kinda. This made me laugh until I cried.

From "Key West Diary" blog.....

"Here's a first for me, a post with a link, it's actually from a blog I read frequently in my web list from the Arctic Circle. She's a single mother living in Kotzebue in rural Alaska, a place about as appealing to me as the fire pits of Hell (my future address I'm sure), but which nevertheless I find fascinating for the very perverse reason that I'd rather swim with piranhas in the tropics than eat seal meat and watch snow falling in the Arctic.....read the rest here."

I will make an effort to use the word "insouciance" in a sentence at least once a week.

The thing is you have to use it with devil-may-care insouciance. Or die in a snow drift during a blizzard 15 feet from safety. On a no school day, of course. Alaskans are mad. In the Florida Keys a rumor of a waterspout or the possibility of strong winds closes schools.

Well, It is great to see Kotzebue getting recognition. My husband and I have lived here now for about 3 weeks and so far, blizzards and all, I love it. Your blog is more well known than you think. My parents who live in Alberta, Canada read your blog, my inlaws in Central Oregon read it too. And of course I like to check out your beautiful photos as well. Hope you have a great day tomorrow despite the weather they are predicting.

Ha ha! That is quite the review! "Insouciance" sent me to the dictionary as well.
