What a pretty picture. That bird is perched so proudly!
Thanks for stopping by Penny Lane. I hope you have a wonderful trip to NH in June. Maybe you can go to my WW Castle in the Clouds. It is now all protected land . . . thank God for that! That is thousands of acres.
The bird is a Gray Jay, also known as a Canadian Jay or Capm Robber. They are quite bold. We have several that live around our camp on the Noatak River. They are quite oppertunistic and smart and soon learn that where there are people food will be easy to find. Some people think of them as pests, but I think they are interesting and enjoy their company.

Wow that is a lovely shot, especially in silhouette. He almost looks like a Christmas tree ornament.
Free as a bird. Great photo...
Happy WW!
this is great it's almost like a christmas tree!
Pretty!
What a lovely photo. What kind of bird is that? I love how birds perch on those high places that look like they shouldn't hold even a bird's weight.
Beautiful picture! I've tried to take pictures like those, but they all come up very dark...
Happy WW, and thanks for stopping by!
My post...
is that just a big bird or a small tree? Wow.
