There's no denying it. It's fall time. It may still be August, but autumn is here in the arctic. People might be in denial, but the birds are getting ready. They are coming together in flocks and preparing to head out.
I cant say it too loudly around my house for fear of being beaten by my family :), but I am ready for our short fall and long winter. The air was so crisp this morning and I as I walked my youngest to his bus stop I kept stopping to admire the red and yellows appearing in the landscape.
Beautiful photos! Fall is right around the corner for Oklahoma, too. Last Sunday I saw geese flying in formation headed south. And the golden rain tree outside my kitchen window is beginning to turn. Temps this week are in mid-eighties. Such a beautiful t ime of year!
