Mush

These are photos that I took today at a Kotzebue Dog Mushers Association race. It was nice out. The temp was 5F with slight breeze and light snow.

Great photos! That looks like photojournalism if I've ever seen it!

The dogs look so excited, like they've got purpose, and are rarin' to go.

Have you and your son ever ridden behind a team of dogs before? I've always thought that sounded so fun!

Your photos are great! Trying to figure out who you are. I too lived on the Noatak for a while (7 years from 94-2001)and am from the east coast (NY) and have since moved to "the valley". Found your site while looking up Bear Dogs. We have an AK Huskey and 2 Giant Mals. Keep taking pics - I hope to enjoy reading more about KOTZ - I miss the sollitude of the Arctic - but enjoy the ammenties (runnning water and sewer) and health care of the bigger city ( and a trip to Walmart every so often). PICS are terrific -
