Seriously?
Someone LOST a vacuum cleaner?
If I had stolen a Dyson, you can bet a $100.00 reward would not be enough to entice ME to return it! I hear they're pretty dang good. Thus, the "Wanted" poster, I guess. Takes all kinds.

I have been following your blog as it's interesting to see life that is so different to mine. Now this has to be more different than any lost poster I have seen! It's all lost cats round here!

How entertaining!

As the OWNER of the lost (aka unauthorized 'pick up of') the vacuum - I can assure you that Dyson's do SUCK!!!!

A co-worker accidentally dumped it out the snowmachine he was trying to deliver it with - but didn't realize it til a block or so later. By which time it was GONE!

Seeing as it still was in the box with my name and work address on it - somebody was definitely a dishonest Samaritan.

I figured that was what happened. That's really crappy. My mom once dropped her cell phone in a cab. Luckily someone found it, scrolled through the phone list and dialed the "home" number and told us that she found out phone. There are good Samaritans out there...unfortunately there is now a dishonest individual with a very clean carpet.

I was hoping to make their life at least inconvenient by having the recipient either be ratted out by friends/family not benefiting from the awesome power that is Dyson; or have the friends/family mock the crap out of them for being the vacuum thief.

I didn't count on the common response being more like the person had "won" the lottery. I guess I just don't get the 'lucky you, you stole something really valuable' state of mind.

Oh dear, I see how it happened now. Sorry to hear this. I hope it is returned to you soon.

Wait, I didn't mean to imply, as I clearly did, that I would actually STEAL someone's Dyson. I wouldn't. I just meant that IF you were a thief by nature, that a Dyson would be a great score. Much as I covet a Dyson, I would return even that!
