DC

I am in Washington DC until Saturday evening. Internet at this hotel cost $15 bucks a day PER DEVICE! You would figure that after you pay $250 a night for the room the least they could do is throw in the Internet for free. I chose to use my iPad out of convenience. I had a few things I wanted to post but they are on my laptop so they will have to wait. Back home in Korzebue it's time for Uruk (bearded seal) hunting. I'm anxious to get home to the cool weather and 24 hours of daylight. It always feels strange to be somewhere it is dark and warm outside. In Kotzebue it is NEVER dark and warm outside :)

Welcome to DC Cathy! I'm across the river in Virginia and I was thinking about how late it was light tonight - and also thinking about next week when I'll be in Iceland (64-66 degrees north latitude) and how different that will be. Funny how you said it is warm out and for us it is a lovely cool evening! I hope you enjoy your time here!

It has been my experience that the more expensive the hotel, the more things they charge extra for. Doesn't seem right, does it? Enjoy your stay.

Love visiting DC. I was born in Winchester, VA so we visited often and never tired of it, but we never stayed over night, just day trips :) Enjoy your visit
