Lots of people were at the airport to meet 2011 Iditarod Champion, John Baker, as he got off the jet this afternoon.




Then a parade of vehicles followed him the school where there was a reception with coffee and cookies.

We have had quite a run of beautiful days. Big blue skies with bright sunshine, and about 10 degrees. Perfect early spring weather. The dogs love this weather too.

My mighty Eskimo hunter and his first catch! Uyaana spent the afternoon on Saturday vanquishing bunnies and honing his killer instinct.




He got all these rabbits with the high powered pellet rifle he got for Christmas. Looks like we will be eating a lot of rabbit.
