Just discovered your blog - nice job, beautiful photography. I lived in the house across from the Friends Church from '76-'82. My parents (Dick and Linda Martin) were the last Friends missionaries (I think), along with Mark and Marsha Ocker. I was 2yrs old when we arrived and 8 when we left. Anyway, your photos bring back many fond memories and you capture Kotzebue life very well. Thank you.

The fireworks are the best thing about bringing in the new year - especially since we can't enjoy them in July when the rest of the country is!
