Bald Eagles

.

We took a quick ride up the Noatak River to our camp yesterday. In the mouth of the river I saw these two bald eagles sitting on a log. They where just out of good camera range but I took a bunch of photos anyway. I have seen bald eagles on the Noatak before, but they are not very common and it is still a special treat to see them, especially two of them together.

Osprey

.

I have been seeing a lot of Osprey on the Noatak River and other areas of northwest Alaska in the last couple years. I remember there was a time when I don't remember ever seeing them. Now it seems I see them every time I venture out in the country.
